EDUCATION

My educational journey began when I enrolled in Mechanical Engineering studies in Copenhagen, Denmark. Those first three and a half years were challenging, but they provided me with the strong theoretical foundation that has guided me throughout my further studies and professional career across various industries and continents.

BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN MECHANICAL ENGINEERING

Completed a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the Technical University of Denmark in Copenhagen. My thesis explored the design and development of a variable supercharger for an automotive engine and I was recognized as the second-best graduate of my year.

After gaining some years of practical engineering experience, I decided to go back to university. I had previously heard of Cranfield University and its strong reputation for applied engineering programs, which aligned perfectly with my desire to combine engineering theory with practical application.

I therefore enlisted to a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering at Cranfield University, where I specialized in Engineering Mechanics and Design of Rotating Machines.

MASTER OF SCIENCE IN MECHANICAL ENGINEERING

I Completed a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering with a specialization in Solid Mechanics, Finite Element Method (FEM), and fatigue design. The program provided a strong foundation in advanced engineering analysis and practical design methods. My thesis focused on the design of an electrically driven trawl winch for large fishing vessels, combining mechanical design, structural analysis, and real-world marine engineering challenges.

After completing my Master’s degree, I spent a short period volunteering with Doctors Without Borders in both South Sudan and Colombia. These experiences gave me a broader perspective on problem-solving, resourcefulness, and the importance of adapting solutions to real-world challenges.

Following this, I joined MAN Diesel & Turbo (now Everllence) in Copenhagen, Denmark, as an R&D Engineer. My primary role was as a Finite Element Analyst, supporting design engineers with advanced analyses, structural evaluations, and design recommendations to improve the performance and reliability of engineering solutions.

At the same time, I had developed a strong interest in innovation—particularly in how organizations can create environments that encourage creativity, collaboration, and effective teamwork. Knowing that Copenhagen Business School had a strong reputation for working with industry and offering programs focused on innovation and organizational development, I decided to continue my education alongside my engineering career.

Over four years of part-time studies, I completed a Graduate Diploma in Business Administration with a focus on Organizational Change and Innovation, adding a valuable dimension to my technical background and strengthening my understanding of how people, processes, and technology come together to drive successful innovation.

GRADUATE DIPLOMA IN BUSIINESS ADMINISTRATION

While working as an engineer, I completed a 4 year part-time program in Business Administration specializing in Innovation and Organizational Change. My goal was to complement my technical background with knowledge of innovation and leadership theory, enabling me to better bridge engineering, creative problem-solving, and the development of innovative solutions.
